PAAO to be honored with Distinguished Service Award at AAO 2017

Every year the American Academy of Ophthalmology recognizes organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to ophthalmology. The Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology is proud to announce that it will be presented the Distinguished Service Award during the Academy meeting in New Orleans, which will be held November 11-14, 2017.

This award is a testament to PAAO’s long legacy of commitment and dedication to the advancement of ophthalmology in the Americas. Through its mission of education and leadership training within the region’s rich and different cultural contexts, it has fostered the creation of lifelong friendships which have strengthened ophthalmology in the region.
