PAAO President’s Message

January 2023

Paulo E.C. Dantas, MD PhD
PAAO President, 2022-2025

Dear Pan-American friends,

New year, new everything…

After a long period without face-to-face events, we are at the door of our biggest event, the Pan-American Congress of Ophthalmology. Ophthalmologists from all over the planet will come together to present and discuss the clinical and surgical trends in our specialty, which so much evolves and leads us to update ourselves frequently.

Likewise, our partners in the pharmaceutical industry and the ophthalmic equipment industry will bring the latest to the extensive commercial exhibition area, with great opportunities for those who normally take advantage of major events to update and modernize their offices and clinics.

Not to mention that Buenos Aires offers everything and is in a positive vibe after winning its third world football championship.

Top restaurants, bars and rooftops with incredible gastronomic experiences. In addition, there are cultural tours to museums such as MALBA (which has in its collection one of the most expensive modernist works produced by a Brazilian: Abaporu, by Tarsila do Amaral – estimated at 40 million dollars in the art market).

From beautiful Recoleta, to trendy Palermo, to modern Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires offers everything for a comfortable, pleasant, familiar stay associated with the gain of scientific knowledge and exchange of ideas among our Pan-American colleagues.

Do not hesitate! Register now and enjoy one of the best ophthalmological congresses in the world!

See you soon!
