I support educational initiatives as a way to enrich and transform lives. My heart and my gratitude with the Pan-American, will be there forever.
The PAAO gave me the opportunity to improve my education and ophthalmic training, and to never stop in the pursuit of academic excellence. Being a PAAO fellow and winner of the Troutman-Véronneau Prize represents a lifelong honor.

The Pan-American Ophthalmological Foundation (PAOF) was founded 1959 by Dr. Brittain F. Payne, Dr. J. Wesley McKinney, Dr. James H. Allen, Dr. Algernon B. Reese, and Dr. A. Edward Maumenee of the United States to support the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) and its educational programs. The PAOF is a 501 (c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Code of the United States. Financial information is available upon request by contacting the PAAO/PAOF Administrative Office.
The PAAO is dedicated to the prevention of blindness through lifelong education and cultural exchange among ophthalmologists in the Western Hemisphere.
As a Young Ophthalmologist, I truly appreciate the opportunities that the PAOF generate us. I mostly value those involving scholarships and grants for training and research for the positive impact they make in the lives of future and young ophthalmologists from all over the Americas. Our donations to the PAOF are effective in maintaining these important actions going!
