Help identify the Great Challenges in Global Eye Health
On behalf of the Lancet Commission on Global Eye Health, Professor Matthew Burton and Professor Hannah Faal would like to invite PAAO members to participate in a study aimed at identifying the “great challenges” in global eye health.
We hope the results help guide the future prioritization of research projects in eye health. Please share your ideas in this process.
What is involved?
Please answer the following question: What are the major challenges in eye health globally?
A major challenge is “a specific barrier that, if eliminated, would help solve an eye health problem, if implemented successfully, the intervention (s) to address this great challenge would have a high probability of extending the intervention. and get impact. “
The great challenges can be worldwide or nationally, or at the level of an ophthalmological clinic or community. Think about the challenges you see in your daily work and tell us about them.
To participate, visit http://bit.ly/eyechallenge. Read more about the study in the Participant Information Sheet and below you can access consent for participation. We will inform the aggregate results, so that your answers are not identifiable as belonging to you. You can select the Spanish language in the upper right corner of the survey form.
The deadline is October 30, 2019.
The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Ref. 17487). If there is something that is not clear or if you would like more information, please contact Jacqueline.Ramke@lshtm.ac.uk.
