Dr. Natalio Izquierdo Presented the 2018 Guillermo Picó Santiago Memorial Lecture

On Saturday, June 23, 2018, Dr. Natalio Izquierdo presented the 2018 Guillermo Picó-Santiago Memorial Lecture. The memorial lecture is presented at the annual meeting of the Puerto Rican Society of Ophthalmology, this year held in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The lecture was created in honor of Dr. Guillermo Picó-Santiago, founder of the Ophthalmology Department at the University of Puerto Rico Medical School in 1950, the Ophthalmology Residency Program and the Puerto Rican Basic Sciences Course. Dr. Izquierdo is past president of the ophthalmology society, is still very involved with the Basic Sciences Course, and was a member of the UPR Ophthalmology Department for 15 years.
