After a long period without face-to-face events, we are at the door of our biggest event, the Pan-American Congress of Ophthalmology.

And another year has passed…
A year with a mix of distrust, fear and hope. Distrust and fear that the nightmare of Covid-19 has not passed. Hope in having overcome the worst phase of this disease and with the certainty that the science of prevention, vaccines and scientific knowledge have brought us to the end of another year, alive and with life plans for a better year, together with our dearest ones.

This month, the PAAO partnered with Bascom Palmer Eye Institute to organize the joint 26th Pan-American Regional Course of Ophthalmology and the 44th Interamerican Course of Clinical Ophthalmology. More than 600 ophthalmologists from all over the world attended.
