We just came from the AAO Annual Meeting. San Francisco, CA, and the PAOF celebrated its 12th anniversary of the Circle of Vision program. The Circle of Vision celebrates donors that contribute more than $1,000 a year to the PAOF in support of the Pan-American’s educational programs.

Lo Mejor de la Academia en Español (The Best of the Academy in Spanish) is a constructive and critical review of what was presented during the Academy Annual Meeting. Join us on Nov 11, 2023 from 8 am to 1 pm ET VIRTUAL via ZOOM. There will be round tables and panels made up of Spanish-speaking ophthalmologists so that colleagues receive the widest possible knowledge of what was seen and heard during the Academy.

Message from the PAOF Chair

We just finished a month of soccer fever with the Women’s FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand that finally saw Spain capture the title for the first time ever. As I saw the cultural exchange and international collaboration evolve in international soccer, I could not avoid to compare this to how the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) plays the same role as FIFA in bringing together all the countries and ophthalmologists in The Americas for our own cultural exchange and international collaboration.
