Dear Colleagues:
The recent devastating earthquakes in Haiti have affected millions. They are without food, water, medical supplies. The Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) and the Pan-American Ophthalmological Foundation (PAOF) are calling for your help.
We have appointed Dr. Natalio Izquierdo, of Puerto Rico, as Project Manager of the Pan-American Haiti Relief Program. He will be working closely with our Haitian colleagues, the President of the Haitian Society of Ophthalmology and the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology to assess their needs.
The PAOF has made an initial pledge of US$10,000 to start this campaign.
